  • Extreme Weather Driving and Car DIY Rages

    Hi Mighty Car Mods community,

What modification do you do most of/take apart (suspension etc) and what pisses you off about doing it!? - Same goes for maintenance (oil change comes to mind).
What do you hate about driving in bad weather - rain, snow fog etc.

I have some questionnaires that would be much appreciated if people were to fill out, but also have this thread for people to (on topic) rant (some of the best info).

I am a final year student studying Product Design at the University of Huddersfield.
By answering this post you are giving me permission and agreeing to me using your comments albeit anonymously. None of the information will be shared outside of my university report.
(Message for mods - if you deem this inappropriate for the forums then please let me know, thank you).

Anything you post will be of much use, thank you.

I'd make it mandatory in the UK to fit winter tyres from November to March and I'd raise the minimum tread depth from 1.6mm to 2.0mm.

Even on a 2 wheel drive car, front or rear, having 4 winter tyres makes a massive difference to the handling and grip level of the car.

The first thing I do when I buy a car, is grease everything. Wheel bolts, brake caliper carrier bolts, ball joints and lower arm bolts etc because I know that one day I'm going to be taking that part off.
They see me coalin', they hatin'.

Thank you very much, if you could share with car friends that would be even better.
Thank you to all who take the time to fill any of the questionnaires out.

in the UK it isn't mandatory to fit winter tyres in winter. Just about everywhere else in Europe do make it mandatory.
