I love the Corollas from the '70s, especially '76. I know the power isn't that great, but I really like the way they look (I also like Ford Pintos so...). To many people they probably seem like lemons, and so they should be all over eBay and Craig'sList and whatnot. The crazy thing is, I can't find any for sale around the internet at all. There are only JDM replacement-parts. If there was a car from that era that I would expect to be unfindable, it would be the Corvette ZR1, but they are quite common! What's going on here?

    One word, Rust.

Also, it's expensive to keep a car in Japan for a long time. So lots of the cars would have been recycled.

The ones that exist, never come up for sale because the owners keep them forever.
I stripped my car out so much it now has 49/49 weight distribution.

just had a thought, they maybe didn't build so many.

reason I say this, is that Isuzu bellets and 117 Coupes are EVERYWHERE and really common because they built so many.

        Who knows
