My Custom Camper Van

Ok this is my daily van so it can't be of the road for long so first things first I have done alot to the van here is a list

• Add side marker lights high and low ones
• Add roof lights like the truck in usa
• Extra back lights above the back door
• A flashing beacon
• Yellow spot on the A bar
• Roof lights
• Extra reversing light which are working lights too
• Reversing camera hooked up to a 10" LCD colour screen
• Some good speakers and cd player (going in the bin cause i got better)
• Wind deflectors
• Made car seat covers fit my seat
• Did the camper van conversion
• Electric windows
• There is more but I can't remember them

Ya i think the girlfriend would be a bit upset if i had that on it she already hate been seen in it

ditch the lights, get some alloys, tint the windows, paint the side door and polish the heck out of the body and it'd start to look ok

screw polish and paint...if you got a lot of money and time. i reckon sticker bomb the WHOLE car and clear coat over the top of it lol.

Ok polishing is a no go paint gone way to far for that also driver side is badly marked i didn't do it. Alloys are hard to come by for a transit but i have a set of 16" steel wheels of a land rover that need to be re-drilled to fit.

When i got it early last year it needed alot of welding new front left arch left step both doors back chassis and alot more


This is the damage on the driver side near the front its like that all the way back but not so bad now cause
i painted it with red oxid

I got all this for €60 out of a car my dad was scraping








And sticker bomb will be happening on the back doors the plan is to travel the world in it and stick a sticker of every place I've been on the back door

Lots of pictures showing the work i had to do just to get it road worthy

Well first thing first was the body work well one wheel arch as started with the help of my dad will get around to the other side and some point

The home made wheel arch is going I will miss it anyone want to by it ;D

Here my dad working on a merc 8-) had to do some welding to the front his using a grinder and having a *** at the same time :roll:

First of my dads shed nice and warm and lots of shine tools

I had some fun with all the dust

Fix the air box good buy rope and now my power steering is not leaking any more and Put in the second battery tray

Had a pock around under neat and I'm shocked to say it was solid as a rock under there so stone chip it Wednesday

I put this back on today had it in the van hanging around so I put it back where it belongs makes the van cleaner looking

Started the camper van parts today as my dad said I had the BEEP of welding and bang the van
So did this well empty this first

I did this a while back wasn't happy with it so is came down sorry to my mate who helped me put it up

Made a frame to go around the sky light

and then started to make a frame on the side got this far and my dad had to go fix his car so that ended the days work well evening as he spent all day fixing the welder and starting into space

Cat found some where to sleep lazy cat still there

Made up all my sides and there well stuck on went though 2 tubes of a thing that's like tiger seal my dad said better to over do it then have it fall upon you in your sleep

This was a hard bit to make as its at the back of the van by the doors note the extra two bits in the middle there for the air vent I'm making to go on the right

I ran most of my 240V and 12V wiring the blue wiring is 240v fire proof wiring The black is 12V

Using the VW to get some wood was a wee bit to long for the van :lol:

My cooker I think I remade this as i didn't like it there

Made my 3rd bed no pictures of it fold up out of the way but you get the idea

Good night all if it take my wight then it should be ok but its very tight up there

Well I got my A bar so I fitted it and my new number plate which I bought cause I made bits of my old one in my ice trip

And on the van and it looks nice on there and yes I have walked in to it and it dose hurt

All so I had a look around my grandads shed's and field and boy did I find stuff and I mean stuff going to have another look again but this trip I found a camper-van tolit, fuse box, a bit of work top just enough to do my work tops, sink well lots of sinks , fog lamps, camper fridge, a length of gas pipe, a odd looking thing that came of a 4X4, a few 3 ton car jacks and a 10ton jack, there is more stuff there but you need a day or two to find things.

And I fitted my yellow spots to my a bar not wired yet but I think I have enough lights ;D

My new work top got it for free and yes that's close to the handle so I have to trim it

A curtain rail above the sliding door hope to fit a curtain here soon must move that wheel been there for a long time now almost a year now

Oh my roof lights there orange and the side ones are white facing forwards and red backwards look nice at night

I also cleaned my shed well I had help from my mate again I think his after something ;D and yes there is a car in there shame the van won't fit in door to low

I bought a electric window kit on ebay I must say what a good kit well put together only thing is the instructions where not so good had to figure out what to do but I got it in the end now windows go up and down and I can put the passage window up and down from the driver seat
Here is the motors in place didn't take may pictures as it was cold and I want it done before I froze in place and I must say ford over done the drivers door card fixing point :

The my alternator died : had to get a new one but its now fixed
240V Done Gas Done 12V Done Water Done almost there now to the cheap tax ;D I had it done enough to go camping in but now I want the cheap tax

I worked on the lights and my mate who now as a black face worked in the corner singing I won't let the sun go on down me

And now some Italy ceramic tiles real dear tile back in 1995 that's how long I have had them in my shed

And Mr. Squeezy the cat who wouldn't move all day from that spot

Timing belt done and I found my knocking noise my front left suspension bolt was missing its nut now next to fix is the odd starting problem
My new bolt I found in drive way which now lives here I think the person who fixed the van before was a bit of a cow boy

My new floor was been laid days ago but here the pictures now it feels like a camper van

Up front I had those bit of brown wood in my shed for years and now found a use for them

Did the breaks or lack of my pad had gone to metal to metal and I found my knocking noise to I'm missing a drop link

My poor mate again helped me install my new sound system

We had to cut the the wall between the cab and the camper

A bit of paint don't worry its black not blue looks blue but drys black

And one sub in place
