  • my 77 mini cooper s specs

hi guys, i'm currently building a 77 mini, i have posted a few pics on the mcm facebook page,
the car is a 77 mini sunshine, it was Leyland's attempt to try and sell more cars before they went broke, it was fitted with a factory sunroof and tinted windows.
i have had the car for 9 months, and i havnt done as much work on it as i would have liked a) because i'm 14 and dont have much money b) i am 14 and cannot drive so it is hard to convince the folks to drive me to places to get parts, but now they have been really helpful and are letting me get new disc brakes sent from the uk
the car is fully stripped, the engine has been cleaned and is ready for reinstallation it worked perfectly so no need to rebuild it.
i'm up to the body work stage now and i am just gathering the final panels i need, just a few more rust repair sections. then i need to give it to my dads mate to weld the bits in, so here are some pics

these are the early pics, the rest are with the engine out

with the engine all cleaned up

these are the rims i found on ebay for 1/3 of their retail

with the stuffed guard cut off

and with the new guard placed in position

    so thats my mini

That's awesome!!! Subscribed! Are you keeping it the original colour or going to paint it something else? I'm especially liking the mint looking engine... Gona be sweet when this is done
i asked god for a bike and soon realized god doesnt work that way. so i stole a bike and asked for forgivness,

^^ and expensive as hell. Importing mini parts saved me a small fortune. I've spent ~$12k so far on my mini (inc buying) and she's still not ready. Engineered, but not ready.
