    • Haha yeah, i positioned it properly before i bolted it down.
I can't wait until i can actually drive the car. Owning and not being able to drive it is killing me.

      • It took me a bit to realise this was a picture of your car. Very nice finish.

        And yeah..
Hey, I just met you and this is crazy. Your perfect clear coat? Respray, maybe.

        • Another shitty little update.
Finally got that satanic tint glue off the window and it looks so much better! Also did a bit of a clean up inside.
And now expect a fairly long silence while i remain broke and unable to do anything to the car

          • So the other day, i was bored out of my mind so i decided to do some more really minor things.
The horn that my steering wheel came with didn't work for some reason so we had to replace it with the one from the previous one. Because DRIFT is a bit of a cheap brand, i decided to frankenstein the horns and replace the drift button with the original nardi one, which will not only give me a working horn, but also a cooler brand. (Bi tches love brands.) And i also sanded the screws and put a bit of etch primer and black on them to stop them from rusting again.

                  • Thanks guise.
Hopefully, by the end of next week the car will be back on the road. Might post a video of it up and running, just because i can and so that i can reflect back on it in the years to come, as i am likely going to change the resonator to a quieter one in the future. That was a long sentence.

                    • So i came home today after uni to realise i had forgotten my keys. I had about an hour and a half to kill, an unlocked car and a shed full of random shit.
I came up with a macgyver-esque idea for a cup holder.
I used lino type flooring, scissors and masking tape. Here's the result:
                      This is it fitted up

Lid closed, can't tell it's there. The JDM crowd loves stealth almost as much as it loves 'JDMbraaah'.

And finally, a lick of paint and a coke to celebrate my first true mod.

This is pretty far from done though. I think it'd be better if it were made out of fibreglass or something a bit more solid. Also needs a better hinge if that's gonna be the case. Good think i almost never used the glovebox anyway.

edit: My LEDs came, yay!. I tested one out with a battery, and holy shit they sure are white.

                        • Car's up and running again! Until tomorrow, when the rego expires at least.
Changed the tranny fluid, this is the shit that came out (greyish colour stuff)

Keeping in mind a good quality lubricant is a golden brown colour. Poor tranny.
My brother doing some last minute tinkering before we went for a drive

                          Mmmm, derishus.

And also, installed my cluster LEDs. They are so good. No bright spots or anything, a nice consistent white glow with a brighter backlit clock:

                          • How much and where'd you get the cluster LED's from, are they just a T10 replacement bulb or are they a special one with a fitting for your dash?

ive been wanting to do this to my dash for a while but i havent been bothered to look for them.

                            • These are the exact ones i got:

Comes with 4 LEDs, 3 for the big main bulbs and one little one for the clock light. I was a bit skeptical at first, thinking 4 wouldn't be enough to properly light the cluster but it turned out real well.

                              • Should have got a picture of the LEDs so we could point out what ones they are T10 or whatever. Good to know that little set is decent though

I'll bet that was a mad drive...

EDIT: Oh and does the dimmer work?
