Cheers man. I'll be happy with anything over 60kw but I'm hoping to break 75kw. These engines just dot usually get dyno'd cause they were designed in the 50's so I really have no idea what to expect

affording one is a challenge but it is SO worth it.

so it didnt blow up on the dyno on saturday pumping out a massive 42kw atw. which is about spot on with my hopes of above 60kw at the fly

also i found that the carbys are tuned almost perfectly and the torque curve is nice enough.
also people should note that stock the car had 25kw at the fly, weighs under 700kg and was designed and built 50yrs ago.

when i got this shell it was the most basic you could get, but now its essentially running the cooper setup with disc brakes on the front and the worked 1275. so its actually a good idea to buy a basic one then do it up to what you want, plus the fun thing is the very simple electrics and massive amounts of aftermarket parts

what carb does yours have? im only good at SU's as they are the most simple designed carb ever getting the twins tuned in sync was a tad hard tho.

you will probably find the mixture screw ONLY sets Idle mixture, after that ( or off idle ) its working off a fixed size jet, so no tuning there, so almost pointless to bother unless you have problems at idle, see now the SU carbs on the mini CAN be tuned otherwise as they have a variable floating needle jet, and have to be set right at idle for the right mixture off idle, a completely different carb setup to yours

so i put my car in the Just Car rate my ride competition in the hopes of getting the money to do the spring suspension conversion, however its up against all the Hot Rods being in the pre1980's section but oh well. and here's the link:
                    http://www.facebook.com/justcar/1300...04&app_data=71

in other news, im pretty much going to let things hang as they are until after this uni semester finishes as i just have too much stuff to do, except for maybe putting some sound deadening in the back and redoing the layout in the back over the mid semester break if i get time.

I voted for you mate, You're coming second in your category! Good luck!!!

Also, my carb is an Asian one. Pretty shitty. Needs diagnosis though, has a few issues starting even though the Auto choke is set good.

Edit: + Gets vapor lock all the time FML

                        cheers man.
i have never had the pain of experiencing vapor lock thus far, hoping it stays that way

in other news, i popped my bonnet the other day and was greated with this sight:
                        IMG_0845.jpg
and yes that is my radiator fan with every fin snapped off, the overflow tube from the radiator somehow got caught in between the blades and cowling and snapped all the blades off. luckily replacement was cheap, quick and easy as i could get a replacement fan (the exact same yellow 11-blade plastic) locally for under $40 and about half an hour to switch them over

on thursday afternoon before the meet i had to go help my mate pick up some parts for his r33, funnily enough there was a heap of room for the parts in the back, was amusing to finally use the back to carry around car parts tho
                        IMG_0858.jpg
managed to fit a full reo in the back and a full set of coilovers and a steering wheel, with room to spare.

well finally got around to measuring the uneven suspension, distance from the hub to the arch varies between 320mm at the back passenger side and 270mm at the front drivers side.
