  • Tim´s ´73 Beetle

Well here it is, my 1973 vw beetle.
the beetle belonged the the fire brigade, pretty cool, so it was most of the time inside and theres no rust

the paintjob is pretty bad and was done by the previous owner, in his small garage.
the engine is a 1300cc, and is pretty much untouched since it left the factory 40 years ago, thats german engineering

dropped the front 6cm using dropped spindels

    MAAAD sound system

    just kidding

Do red brake drums also add 25kw?

    hope you guys like it,
in a few days i may drop the rear-end aswell, 30min job on these cars

    goodbye
im more than happy to help you with questions about nearly all volkswagens
So what do you want to do, lift it up and throw it in the ditch?

Awesome beetle How much did you pay for it ?

Sadly in germany, most of them are rusted away and so the few ones left are extremely expensive

done some more on the bug today,

the start button is now moved to the center of the dash.
next to it is now a switch for the ignition coil on/off.

gotta love those bugs, wiring is so easily accessible

                        and a big mess

                              Well the engine is ****ed.......

due to not working thermometer, the cooling flaps didn't open.
resulting in a to hot engine, and both heads are probably cracked
were going to test compression, and if thats bad, pull the engine out.
tear is down and see whats wrong.
