  • Toyota Supra A80 / MKIV GZ aerotop TT 6spd

    G'day fellows,

I am new to the forum but it's been almost a year since I bought my Supra. I am an active member of the Supra forums (AU) and absolutely love all the MCM videos.

My car is reasonably stock with just very light mods. Some of the mods done with the help of Marty and Moog's videos.

There's heaps to be done in the near future and I'll make sure I post some of the work done.

    Some pictures below:

    Cheers!

This is one damn nice looking supra.
Only thing that kills it is the rear bumper having been resprayed and not colour matched properly.

The getrag was fitted by the previous owner, the reason why I bought her.

            Pics as requested

Hey mate, thanks I love them too, I had to rescue them from a very neglected state... These are great jap wheels that no one wanted (lucky me). I posted on this thread about them: http://forums.mightycarmods.com/show...-Wheels!/page8

Hey Mike, I agree, the paint work ins't great and I haven't had much time to re-spray it since I bough her. Also, I was running red smoke rear tires and they leach the red colour dye onto the rear of the car. That made it even more noticeable. (changed to normal tires a couple of weeks ago). The dye comes off with a few washes but it's still there!

All the carbon fiber for extra weight reduction.
I'm planning on doing that too.
Where'd you get the radiator cover?

The car came with it. I don't care about CF too much but it does look good. The guy that sold this car to me owns the business that sells these parts (you'll probably see my Supra on his web page).

Hey hey hey... How are you doing bro!?

                      Good to see you here

Your wheels did come to a good home indeed.

They're going great considering I re-sprayed them with acrylic paint. Now, I am keen to go back to the stock 17" inches, 9,5 all around. I just can't find any rims I like and there is something about the "sleeper" look that makes me happy. Considering some of the future mods I have planned for this beast, it will be a nice little surprise for some people when they see a very standard looking Supra but not so standard in power...

Anyways, with the experience painting "your" wheels, I'll do a proper job on my stockies with better paint and they will also be glossy black. The Zeldas will be my track wheels as I had mentioned a while ago.

                        JDM = Japanese Domestic Muscle?

Yes, with a Supra yes! haha.

CF parts are really nice, even more in combination with the bright white colour of the Supra. It's such a shame CF is reaaaaaaally expensive. But it kinda makes it more special aswell.

Looks absolutely amazing! Not a big fan of the tri spokes though.

Have you taken the roof off and asked people how much their ferraris retail for yet?

Lol, yes, I guess not all JDMs are muscle but mine is!!! :P

I agree with what you said, and too expensive! I guess it's the best way to reduce weight when replacing the big bits around the car. My intention with this car is just to cruise and have good power available. If my idea was to have a track car, I would've bought a hard top as the aero is almost 200Kg heavier (ouch, I know). In regards to the CF looks, it doesn't really make me go wow... but I like it
