Many here would beg to differ

I will admite however, a little contraversal having blow off valve music while flaunting my automatic 1.8L...

                *Front 6" speakers
                *4 Channel amp
                *12" Sub.

Not concerned about rear speakers as the fronts will do the job & i never have people in the back. As for the Type R comment on Page 2, I did'nt consider going for an equivelnt style of ride as i wasn' t planning on driving manual, so didn't bother buying a type R of the like.

oh ok... One thing if i was you, run 4 speaker not 2,, Will sound shit... Front are genrally smaller speaker (6") when backs are normally (6x9")i think in your car..Hook up like this!!! run the fronts off the deck,, the back off channel 1 and 2 of the amp and the sub off 3 and 4 bridged.. Will sound ten times better then only 2 speaker's... Car's to open inside for only 2 speaker's.. And with 4 its center's the music rather than it sounding from your feet!!!!!!!

                            Lift Bolts

Nice car mate, I bought a silver one in January, 2000 Manual ZR.

Something to keep in mind about the 2000-2002 Celicas is that the two little "lift bolts" responcible for the fun above 6000RPM can wear and break.

It takes 20 minuets to check and replace them but more like 5-6 hours if they have already broken.
They can be replaced with stronger, more angled bolts which are installed stock in the 2003-2005 model.

here is a link to a guide to replace them.

                            http://www.billswebspace.com/2ZZLiftBoltReplacement.htm

My broken bolt and one with wear marks. the bag behind has the part number for the new bolts on it.
I had mine replaced at the 80,000km service but you must specificaly ask for it as not many places know about it.
