  • Lockiess S15 VVL Kicked In Yo Version 2.2

How's it guys, been a while now since I've been active on these boards but I thought it's about time I've shared with you the future of my S15

For those that may be able to cast their minds back, I had quite a large scale SR20VET S15 build here in NZ with detailed images and updates of the progress. Since this is going to be all new build I decided to create an all new build thread to update with progress and images.

The plan of attack is simple: Building a stroked SR22 block [as the title thread hints at] with the current VVL head with the aim of 500kw+. The car will still be an all street, show and track car it's always been

For those that can't cast their minds back, here is a recent image of the S15 of what it currently looks like

    What I've purchased so far:

    Mazworx Billet girdle

    Mazworx Billet main caps

    Mazworx 1/2" head studs

    Mazworx 1/2" main studs

ACL GTiR 5 hole race bearings

    ACL 19mm rod race bearings

    Kelford 184ST camshafts

i think i do recall reading this thread before the wipe many many moons ago, man your S15 looks slick as!!

how difficult was it for you to source the VE head?
been trying to find one myself in Aus, pretty darn difficult at the moment
      looking forward to the build!!

Head was purchased pre built off E&H Motorsport , was on his 800hp time attack S14 so wasn't too hard too source. NZ does usually have a huge amount of them laying around

Appreciate it too man, it's taking a fair bit of coin going this extreme with it though lol

Kelford beehive springs with titanium retainers arrived late last week alongside a P12 rocker cover with coil pack cover. Not the largest of updates but one none the less

Next on the list is a Tomei 3" titanuim cat back and a Gen 2 PTE 6466

Bit of a update for everyone, next lot of parts consisting of:

            Taarks billet oil pickup
            Taarks single VVL solenoid block
Genuine OEM SR20VE oil pump drive

Have also purchased a second SR20VE P11 cylinder head as I decided it would be best to start over with a second head, rather then re use my current one as I would need to be stripping it for the new valve train and replace necessary parts regardless

                Back on board with updates

It's been a while for updates as I had bit of a whoops last year with the S15 as I [mostly] destroyed both 3rd and 4th in my gearbox out on track, clutch and pressure plate were both gone burgers and further towards end of last year I ended up having to get a new driveshaft and a cracked intake manifold repaired.

2019 wasn't a good year to me but a few small updates

                Taaks RWD VE relocation block

                Taarks RWD VE water neck

More parts ordered to come, just waiting on back order with them
