  • Beyerdynamic DT770M 80 Ohm.
$250 delivered, absolutely awesome to monitor with when writing tracks.
Best clean bass response I have come across with headphones.

    • I have a home studio & I have spent a fair amount of time in some well known commercial studios as well. I like headphones that I can use for a long time with the least fatigue. The standard Sony MD's AKG's are great. But lately I have been using KRK KNS-8400's ($150 US). They aren't as flat as the Sony & AKG's, but have very low fatigue. I had been using KRK powered monitors & the headphones made sense. I have moved on to Blue Sky 2.1 monitors. But the KRK's are still my go to headphones

      • Casual listener here, I have two sets of Sennheisers:

CX300-II Precisions, for my iPod Touch 5 or my Samsung Note 2:

These seemed to be a little overhyped, bit too much treble for me and hurts my ears after long usage. Prefer the bass-heavy ATs below

And HD215s, amped up to a Yamaha HTR-3064 home theatre amp for my computer:

The HD215s are hardly stylish but are excellent bang for buck. Amped up they really shine, on portable devices they lack bass.

I also have a pair of Audio Technica CKM55 in-ears in gold:

        • HD - 438

They look like the rims off the civic hahah

They are really good though, no problems with them at all

          • So many people in here have such pleb tier headphones. Beyerdynamic DT880 250ohm's provide an enjoyable and comfortable listening experience, powered by a Headroom Bithead amp. I also want to buy a pair of AKG 701/702's and some nice IEM's.

            • HD25's, i have had them for at least 5 years. Never had a problem with them.

              • The ones that came with my iPhone, and cheap ones at work as I'm constantly chopping through the lead

Missing from the image is another set of 770's and a vintage pair of AKG K240 sextetts.

I mainly use the DT770's and the K601's around the house and take the HD25's out and about.
