nonsense, HID's are illegal regardless of colour temp

and there's a fair bit of glare on marty's cutoff pic too.

I put HID's in my Astina. The trick is to NOT get blue ones. Mine are 55W (rather than 35W) 4300K, installed in OEM projector housings, have been properly adjusted, and I haven't gotten any second looks. They're brighter than my high beams! Don't get them to look cool, get them so that you can actually see the road. If you get them to look cool, chances are you want the blue ones. If you get blue ones, chances are people will think you're a dickhead.

Are you referring to Colour temperature? I didn't think they went above 14k (generally) which in itself is meant to be some ridiculous purple!

i got HID in my sealed high beams since my headlights are both high/low on the outside & sealed beam on the inside... ive got 4300k they are awesome, i can see them being annoying to other road users if i had them in my normal high/low as the light splashes everywhere but easily fixed if i bought some fish eye len's.
