Well we finally put a head unit in the S15 thanks to Pioneer who were very lovely to sponsor us.

Looks really neat in the surrounding trim and livens up the interior a bit.

'Changing Speakers' and 'DIY Sub Install' will be covered in upcoming videos amongst other things!

Well done!! I reaally think I need to show ppl this so they know how important solder and heatshrink is, instead of coming into my shop whinging that there 3k system doesn't work because they have a knack for ductape and pliers!!
And of course, we all love to watch MM while drifting!!
somehow that feature needs to be overridden!!

Yea 1.5K is still too much to blow on a 5k car.... lol
And you can override it chkurplse, its just illegal

It'd be fun to know, did you keep it legal moog or did you re-direct it so you can always view video.
Im getting a clarion double DIN dvd, im overridding it.

People say 'why would you want to, you cant watch it while you drive'

But i have lots of music tracks that i only have videos for, i like to listen to some videos as ive seen them plenty and know whats going on (man i watch too much family guy)

and for my passengers to be able to watch videos while i drive

Good info! Nice HU too. When I can afford it, I'll be getting a Pioneer HU that reads SD-cards. No video or nav for me. That's what my smartphone is for :-p

I could also get it quite cheap...also work in motoring and also know pioneer/gbi rep pretty well.
I know it can be overridden, it would be the fiirst thing i would do....

Good ep Was wondering when the next one was coming!

I personally don't want a headunit at all.. I'm wondering how easy it is/would be to run audio direct to amps. Just let my iPhone handle music (cradle it), could also put in UHF etc and maybe switch between them. I wouldn't use 90% of the features of any headunit on the market.

                          But each to their own

I like the reference to the handbrake... Surely there's a switch to allow it to view video when the cops aren't around...

on that note, for when i get mine sent through. (hopefully next week).

Does anyone know where you should hook up the handbrake alert cable to overide it?
Does it need constant 12v or ground?
