  • Hi from Solihull, UK

Greetings to one and all. Finally got around to getting on here. I’m 52 living in Solihull UK and been into cars and bikes since a teenager. Mostly into my 60/70/80s cars and bikes and had some great rides over the years. All my stuff gets modded somehow and after years of wanting one I now own a wicked little 03 Suzuki Carry mini van. Love the nugget and now I’ve been collecting new parts the modded begins. Have a game plan which I’ll share in members rides, Happy days! Pictured on my homemade ramps, work a treat

    Welcome to the forums!

UK spec, that'll be a 1.3 then? Are you keeping the 1.3 engine?
I stripped my car out so much it now has 49/49 weight distribution.

      Hi there
Yes the 1.3 16v is staying however it will be updated with tuned exhaust manifold with 2” decat single box, twin throttle bodies, 4 x Suzuki sx injectors, polished/ported head, welded diff etc etc. A friend runs this combo and it rips fir a little nugget. Overseas Indonesia they’re making over 200hp on a stock motors and hoping to learn a lot more about them, hopefully there may be a few owners on here. What’s your Alto like to drive, looks fun

Yes most Suzuki engines are pretty solid, and there's rakes of parts in Japan for making them stronger too!

The Alto is really nice to drive, its a bit twitchy when it's windy. The gears are really short, 4k rpm at 100kmh! the 4WD is brilliant though in the wet and snow.

Scared to tune it, I don't like the way the R06A engine is built - unlike the older K6A or even the F6A. It's geared up for economy.
