  • Hi All, I need some help importing my S401

    Hi All,

My name is Bobby, I have moved to Sydney from Auckland, New Zealand.

I have personally imported my Subaru Legacy S401 from Auckland, it is in Port Kembla now.

I am hunting around for quotations on getting my car complied and road registered.

I would also really appreciate any recommendations. I have asked some guys already on the Subyclub forum as well.

This is a small gallery of my S401. https://[email protected]/710727

This is my single turbo BD5 Legacy https://flic.kr/s/aHsmr1TvV4

This is my youtube channel of my other Subarus: https://www.youtube....4wa8dFNhE0qVzPA

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Welcome to the forums mate.

I'm not sure how the rego works there, but you'll find this link useful https://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/roads/reg...-vehicles.html

I can't see why it wouldn't be compliant.
I stripped my car out so much it now has 49/49 weight distribution.

        Hi All,
Just a quick update, I will be picking my S401 up on Monday.
        So far no issues.

Highest risk, I'd have imagined, is it might have Japanese seat belts; which don't comply in Australia. (no technical reason, just missing the official tests)

Rules like this are absolutely ridiculous. Physically the same belt with a different label on it.

Should be no reason you can't prove the same relevant standard.

You need a secret car enthusiast as your transport minister. Lol
