Since we all spend more time at home right now due to the human malware, what do you watch to pass the time? (P0rn doesn't count ;-))

I worked from home for almost a month but couldn't stand it. And then my company went straight against the governments policy which still is: work from home as much as possible unless you really really can't. But our policy now is: come to the office unless you are sick, displaying symptoms or someone in the same household as you has either tested positive for covid-19 or is awaiting testresults.
But anyway, I'm currently watching The 100 on Netflix. It has it's ups and downs but it does keep me watching because I wanna know what happens next.
Season 1 started as a cheesy teen-show. Season 2 was the best so far. I'm now at season 5 and it just keeps re-inventing itself by bringing in another faction or antagonist when they just dealt with the previous one. It is a bit frustrating to watch at times as they experience constant setbacks, and being double-crossed and betrayed and some characters just make dumb decisions but for some reason I keep watching itLast edited by TheCaptain; 08-07-2020, 06:35 PM.

I fiinished The Man in the High Castle yesterday, that was a kinda dark and bleak series, especially for a german. It gives off a twisted vision of what could have happened and it reminded me once again that we can never let it happen again.
But I think can use something comedic and lighthearted now. Like Star Trek Lower Decks xDMCM Forum Discord server:

The only thing I didn't like about Voyager was mainly the final season. They didn't really make any big progress towards getting home and I kept wondering when was the main story going to continue because the season kept coming with filler episodes and holodeck novels and then suddenly it was all over in the last 2 or 3 episodes or something.
I might try DS9 after finishing Voyager, I tried before but could never get into it. So far I've watched Star Trek ENT, TNG, VOY, and the new Picard series. I didn't like Discovery

DS9 has a huuuge bonus if you binge it. Due to the density of it, if you only watch one episode a week (as the original format was), the catchiness doesn't come across. But in the binge format, story and character arcs get a lot more dynamic. Don't get discouraged after the first few episodes, it takes a bit of world-building and character introduction before the stories really take off.MCM Forum Discord server:

I like the one where O'Neill (with 2 L's) went invisible and the word-jokes Teal'c made about itLast edited by TheCaptain; 22-01-2021, 10:29 PM.

I've discovered a fault in Star Trek Voyager. They say they are 70.000 lightyears from earth and it would take 70 years to get back. I'm currently on Season 4, episode 1, Scorpions part II. The Borg wanted to turn Voyager back to the nearest Borg occupied planet and cancel the agreement to guide Voyager through Borg space after helping them defeat species 8472. In conversation between Chakotay and Seven of Nine, Chakotay argued that the trip back would take 5 days, in the wrong direction. Next, when Janeway recovers in sickbay, Chakotay tells her the Borg want to track back and says it's 40 lightyears.
So, 5 days to travel 40 lightyears would mean that 70.000 lightyears would take 1750 days, or 4.8 years.
